INSIDE MEDICINE

Multi-part documentary series for Weill Cornell Medical College

Weill Cornell series showcases medicine through the eyes of patients, doctors and researchers

Dr. Shahin Rafii is on the cutting edge of genetic research, with a tireless passion for translating discovery into cures. Medical student Peter Movilla overcame an unstable childhood to earn a scholarship to Weill Cornell Medical School. After a debilitating stroke, Broadway actress Jennifer Harmon sees a path back to the stage thanks to the personal care she receives. Physican-scientist Sarah Bettigole extols the virtues of her mentor while working to create new treatments for asthma.  For leading neurobiology researcher B.J. Casey, mentorships with scientists like Conor Liston are key to understanding the workings of the teenage mind. For this series, we collaborated with John Hubbell to create a number of documentary shorts profiling patients, doctors and researchers. The project was branded as “Inside Medicine” by former Cornell Medical School dean Dr. Laurie Glimcher.
